  • The main purpose of this role is to prepare NW3 CLT to sell and allocate units at

    31, Daleham Gardens and to collate information such as maintenance and H&S

    schedules for the completed building, under the guidance of the Board and sub-

    committees. The role is likely to require flexibility, both in work undertaken and

    hours of work. Therefore, please be aware that the following responsibilities may change as the project develops.

    We envisage 1 – 2 days per week at the start, with the possibility of further hours as the project moves to the building stage (expected mid-2025).

    Work will be hybrid -- at home and at 8a, Belsize Court Garages, and on a self-employed basis.

    An interest in affordable/sustainable housing and community development would be highly desirable!

    Design & Build Phase (Feb – July 2025, Aug 2025 – Jan 2027)

    Finance

    • Set up robust financial spreadsheets and reporting structures for Board

    • Carry out due diligence on invoices prior to advising financial officers of payment

    • Liaise with Development Manager (DM) on cashflow

    • Arrange draw-down of funding to support the cashflow requirements

    • Liaise with DM, Board, Banks and others and provide supporting documentation for development funding

    Sales & Allocations

    • Liaise with Board, CDS* and independent agencies to produce reports, supporting documentation and agreements for allocations

    • Liaise with potential residents & agents on sales progressions

    Post-build (June 2026 – June 2028)

    Management & administration

    • Liaise with contractors, residents and Board during the defects phase

    General

    • Assist with maintenance schedules

    • Prepare and update the risk register and present to the Board

    • Ensure policies and procedures and governance principles, as laid down in the ‘Rules’ and other documents are updated and circulated to the Board and all other interested parties.

    • Organise meetings for Board and members, both internal and with external parties, and ensure calendars/diaries/communications are up-to-date

    • Take responsibility for publicity and PR, both to members and outside, including the management of NW3 social channels, linked-in etc.

    Fundraising

    • Seek crowdfunder and/or other donations or Community Share investment based on prospectus and good comms

    • Seek grants where appropriate

    Person Specification

    Technical

    • Produce and manage excel-based documents and reporting structures and able to set these up

    • Familiarity with social media and able to set these up and maintain

    • Desirable: Sales experience

    • Desirable: Fundraising experience

    Personal Qualities

    • Ability to plan and organise schedules

    • Ability to keep on top of detail and produce accurate documents/reports

    • Flexibility – able to move between tasks at short notice

    • Ability to work at speed, without sacrificing accuracy

    • Good listener, and prepared to action other people’s suggestions

    *CDS is likely to be the managing agent for the property once completed, as well as the owner of 2 social-housing flats. This relationship is likely to be key to the success of the project.
